Dish Network Settlement
Dish Network Class Action Settlement
Dish Network made some illegal calls. Now, they are going to pay. In a class action settlement, Dish Network is to pay $1,200 to the owner of each phone number it illegally called. Learn more about the Dish Network settlement below.
Why Was It Illegal For Dish To Call?
Between May 11, 2010 and August 1, 2011, calls were placed to market Dish Network’s services. Dish Network alleges an outside contractor made the calls on its behalf. A jury found that the marketing calls included phone numbers that were on the Do Not Call registry. Calling phone numbers on the Do Not Call registry is illegal if the owner is not an existing customer.
