What Is An IVC Filter?
IVC stands for Inferior Vena Cava. An IVC filter catches blood clots in the Inferior Vena Cava before they reach the lungs. This helps at-risk patients avoid an embolism. Additionally, Rex Medical designed this filter to be removable. But, many patients are having trouble with their implants.
How An IVC Filter Works
